I have had this problem for years has anyone else. No matter which brand of whey protein i use i am still constipated. I use lactaid to mix it and it doesnt work. I take Psyllum Seed Husks but it only works sometimes. Any suggestions????

rocco, i have this problem anytime that i am dieting for a show. I think that its from the lack of fiber than the amount of protein. I take sugar free orange flavored citrucel in the morning and it seems to be ok for me. give it a try
I had the same problem even after supplementing with fibre, until I read about product called Dong Quai - taken 1 capsule twice a day and it's been working so far.

But about the constipation, this happens to me when I eliminate carbs and up the protein. It's because you are not getting enough fiber like everyone has stated. Make sure you eat lost of Brocoli and have a 1/2 cup of Fiber ED...if your on a Low Carb diet.

Have a bowl of Allbran, ten grams of fibre in one cup. Have a 2 cup bowl with some skim milk if you can afford the sugar from the milk, if not take a fibercon.
A cup or two of (cooked) dry beans will get ya going. Add a bit of psylium (sp?) husks from your local health food shop (I mix 2 spoons with 2 spoons of Tang & H2O--tastes like pulpy OJ) and you'll be good to go for sure . . .
Fiber one, 1/2 cup 14 grams of fiber- I eat a cup a day to keep constipation away.
