It is a waste for two reasons:
1) It has two nice big hydrophylic hydroxyl groups that would stop it from passing through the blood-brain barrier
2) It would be deactivated almost imediately by the monoamine oxidase enzyme

If it did what its supposed to do you could become dependant on it...also excess dopamine is the primary cause of schizophrenia ...but anyways excercise is supposed to increase dopamine levels...also sex...

Almost all good stimulants give extra dopamine. There are however two major types of stimulants:
-those that increase the amount of dopamine released (like amphetamine)
- those which block dopamine reuptake (like methylphenidate, aka 'Rit****')

No I have never used either to supplement my diet. I really need to know why you want more dopamine before I can continue.
There is a stimulant that increases circulating dopamine without supressing appetite, but it is kind of costly and requires a perscription

dopamine is said to enhances mental function, mood and even libido by increasing brain levels of the focus and drive neurotransmitter. this sounds great on paper, but how does it feel in real life? arent you curious?

Well dopamine IS a neurotransmitter it doesnt enhance the "focus and drive nuero"...but I believe you need prescription drugs to enhance them significantly...

Prescription drugs such as Rit**** and Adderall will increase the Dopamine production in your brain allowing you to focus over a period of time.
Such states as Anxiety will also trigger the brain to increase the production of Dopamine

You could Try Strattera, Centella Asiatica (also called Gotu Kola), Green Oats (also called Avena sativa) or Panax Ginseng (a Chinese herb).
Vit C is also known to help with mental focus. There is also a new drug called "Focul" but I dont know much about it. A red Bull can do the trick sometimes for me ;-)

the first time I took n-acety-l-tyrosine
it felt amazing , drug like
I noticed it only hit mehard once in a while ,
while at other times it just gives your a wakefull feeling
its plays crucial role in nuerotransmitter formation
