Thread: ALA without Carb Depletion?!

    ALA without Carb Depletion?!

Would ALA still promote fat reduction and weight loss if one was to NOT be on a carb depletion diet? Definetly keep the fat and calories low and the protein high, or do you have to be in KETOSIS?? Any ideas Guys???!

    SOOOO

I Guess Technically the answer is yes. But really no, unless you're willling to shove 10 grams of pills down your throat everyday, not to mention shove out some $$$$$$. Next question would have to be where I can get the stuff in higher dose pills. The highest i've seen is probably 300MG. Anyone got an answer to THAT?!

I've heard of a couple people taking 6 grams but 8? People always think excess is better.
I've never tried ALA, except for the minimal amount that is added to creatine.
So your saying it could help even if your eating around say 200-250 carbs per day?
    What dose is recommended?
One last question, do you only take them before carb meals? That would be great postworkout.

From what I have heard, you take it before everymeal. Make sure you eat right away, I have heard it can really make you sick if you take it too soon, or even after. As far as your other questions...I dont know.
