protien drinks and GAS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had a protien drink made for me at the gym where I have started going.it tasted very good but after about 10-15 minutes I started to get GAs so bad that it was exstremely painful,so much so that i had to go home and missed my work out.Now I was planning on doing the protien shake or isolate thing ,but i just can't take anymore this pain.Do all protien shakes cause gas?
what about protien isolate, whey?do they cause gas or was it the combination of fruit juice and whey that was in the shake I had?

mine causes gas, but you shouldn't let that get in the way of your workout...

Try taking the protein shake with water on the side and some complex carbs, like some wheat bread or something to help dilute it all.
That should work pretty well. If not, change brands, I like Cytogainer, the Cookies n' creme is bomb!
Good luck man,

Yeah I've been there too.....I've used the Cytogainer(someone mentioned them) and it can definately be painful.
I've learned to just live with it and accept it as part of the sacrifices to be made but if anyone has any suggestions I too would be interested in hearing them.Last edited by CanadianGhost; 02-11-2006 at 05:02 AM. Reason: spelling(oops)
