    Vitamin D

Does any one use a vitamin D supplement over and above what they get in a multi. If so, have you noticed any benifits from it as far as muscle growth recover time, etc etc.

I would stay away from ove supplementing with fat soulable vitamins except vitamin e. They have no added benifits in big dosages and the risk of getting sic is to high imo. Vitamin d is the only vitamin that can cause permanent damage. It can cause calcium deposits in soft organs

Robert Heaney of Creighton University is calling for 4000 IU per day.
[Journal steroid Biochemistry Molecular Biology 97:13-19,2005]

Many others I read say 1000 IU per day

According to this article the vitamin D council is calling for the government to have a fixed daily allowance at 3000 IU.

The article claims the best diet only allows 250 IU
Recomended daily allowance for adults remains at 400 IU

the article is from health Journalist Bill Sardi

Not doubting you bro, but what reason did your doc give for stopping vitamin e? Vitamin e is the most important vitamin/antioxidant when it comes to keeping cholesterol from free radicals. Its also very hard to overdose.

There seems to be so many conflicting reports concerning vitamins.

yes it does for sure. Its because vitamin research hasnt gotten the attention it needs since the begining of the 20th century. Thank god for Linus Pauling. Atleast he gave birth to orthomolecular medicine.

I firmly belive most modern diseases can be cured and/or prevented with proper vitamin, mineral and phytochemicals.
