I have been using Casein protein powder before bed ED.
Is it really everything it's made out to be?
I'm using ON right now and hate it. It turns into pancake batter consistency when mixed. Used to use Mycellean by VPX but's gone. Any suggestions?

I used to drink NitroTech Nighttime (different from regular nitrotrech) before bed and it worked fine.
if you mix your regular powder with some milk before bed it will slow down the digestion just like any 'nighttime' protein. you could also just have a handful of almonds or peanuts or some flaxseed because fat slows down the digestion of everything in your stomach. casein protein is just powdered milk. if you want to make your own protein mix for before bed, check out www.proteinfactory.com
you can make custom protein powders with whatever sources you want and your own flavors, sizes and supplements.
Eat Cottage cheese. The real Casein.
I know I have to make myself like cottage cheese. It's tuff! Ok when mixed with jelly or something still can't eat it straight.
yah, Giantz, that's what I was gonna say. I have cottage cheese and almonds every night b4 bed.
If you don't care for it, just force it down, knowing how good it is for you
proteinfactory.com is a great site, mix your on stuff and tastes good usually,,
except soy and casein
Casein is a slow protein unlike whey which is fast. Its thicker too.
Casein is good before bed but i usually eat a can of tuna. A protein serving before bed is better than no protein serving before bed.
