    Whey is dead?

A recent bodybuilder told me that whey is dead and usuasly just ends up in the toilet or clogs up the intestine. He recommended Hemp Protein and says its highly more bio available. anyone educated in this area?

I'm sure most of us will say that we have been using whey for eons, which doesnt make it the best thing on the planet, but there have been many scientific studies done on it to support the use as a supplement. Unless that bodybuilder has real evidence behind it i would dismiss it as yet another assumption due to lack of knowledge.

I must say i've never heard of hemp protein but am curious to see what the guru's have to say about this. There is always the possibilty that whey really is old school but we just keep buying it because all the big guys before us did

BTW: After his little speech did he try to sell you some?

My father died from colon cancer 2 months ago, but when he was on chimo last summer the doctor gave him HMS90 which is a whey protein, also whey protein is been given to many people that have HIV to boost there immune system.

And yes many studies have been done on Whey telling is benefits.

Whey has a very high bioavailibilty. It gets more complicated, as there are diff kinds of whey with diff properties. Still even the lowest grades are quite good and readily used by the body.

Hemp protien looks pretty good. I have heard from guys at the gym that its easier on their stomachs, and they seem to think it works better.
