    Whats the difference between Creatine MONOHYDRATE and ETHYL ESTER

    Whats the difference between Creatine MONOHYDRATE and ETHYL ESTER...

    Used creatine a while ago before AAS but i want to use it when im off - whats the best for weight/muscle gains ? Im thinking one will probably without the bloat alltough i thought that was basically all creatine could do... bloat which in turn pumps you a little and adds strength...

    One problem with mono is that it's absorbed in the intestines. When this product is consumed, it sits in the intestines before being absorbed into the bloodstream. Because creatine pulls in water (as it does in muscle cells), it can pull water into the intestines, causing diarrhea in people who don't absorb mono well. However, most new versions are absorbed much easier, preventing the gastrointestinal problems associated with mono. A second problem with mono is that it relies on insulin to enter muscle cells. Therefore it is recommended to take it with fast digesting carbs, which causes insulin to spike in the blood. The insulin then opens a pathway in the cells that allow creatine to pass from the blood into the muscle. However it takes a significant amount of insulin to get 3-5 grams of creatine into these cells, and means consuminga loy of carbs- about 20 grams per gram of creatine. So you need to ingest 60-100 grams of simple carbs when you take mono to optimize its uptake. This is fine pre/post workout, but consuming that quanity of carbs on rest days or when your dieting can be a problem.
    Creatine ethyl ester (CEE) is formed by the addition of alcahol and an acid to the creatine molecule. Adding the ester group enhances creatine molecules' ability to pass across cell membranes in the intestine ( resulting in easier absorbtion ) as wella s muscle cells. CEE lets you take less creatine and skip all the carbs. Also unlike mono , there is no loading with CEE

    So whats the max dosage of CEE i can take per day and what will the results be ?

    Yeah, I just started using Mono, and I have to say, I got the runs pretty often. it sux.

    I'm not sure the MAX dosage but 1-2 grams of CEE is usually the recomended amount

    the reccommended amount is 2.5 to 5g

    And what would the results be over 5g ? Anything? or just the same as 5 and below - im sure there must be people on here who have used creatine in HUGE amounts when comming off AAS to compensate to some extent - i no i will try it

    Just reading the the back of my Horsepower (CEE product) 1.1g CEE per serving twice a day = 2.2g of CEE, someone should tell them that they are under dosing their product.
    reguardless, I'm sure taking 2.5-5g isn't gonna kill ya

    im sure the horsepower is a "propreitary blend" of some sort im using higher power CEE and its just pure CEE without any sweetener or anything and it says on that bottle to take 2.5g before and 2.5 g after your workout...and from reading up on the forum most people say about the same 2-5g/day

    I have never run CEE and have not Mono for 2-3+ years since i discovered AAS - what should i expect in terms of gains from it - im not expecting much in all honesty - but what should i expect ? Any weight gain what so ever ?

    the one ting that wasnt mentioned and probably the biggest difference is that creatine monohydrate, whatever isnt absorbed, usually bindsto water outside of the muscle cell giving you the puffy bloated look. Where with CEE it has a lower affinity for binding to H2O

    so wouldnt the bloated look make you "LOOK" slightly bigger and due to it being winter soon thats not an issue - Does it bloat your face as well ?
    I thought thats all creatine did really in terms of putting weight on or looking bigger - just bloated you a little - and aslong as it dosent bloat my face or if it only does a little bit - i can deal with some bloat if i appear slightly larger...

    So what does CEE do - could i gain any weight from it ? Could i use creatine mono @ 5grams a day and CEE at 5grams a day together ? or would it be pointless
