where does one order a large amount or protein?
Where do I purchase large quantities of protein? Bags of 10lbs or more
It seems like i go throught a tub every three weeks. I figure if I start buying larger quantities I can save some money.

okay I've done some research, since my thread has died a grim death, I'lll post it here.
I have found a large-scale dairy distributer (there should be similar pretty much anywhere that a dairy industry exists) who will sell me 20kg (umm is that 44 pound) bags of the purest WPI you'll ever find (unflavoured and uncoloured of course).. It works out quite a deal cheaper than buying named products.
Now the main problem is proportions..
Yes you can take pure WPI, but to get a good all-round effect, you'll need to throw in whey protein concentrate and calcium casseinate for good measure. The WPI will be the first to digest, which is great for replenishing your aching muscles straight after a session, the concentrate takes longer again, and the casseinate (or cassein) upto 7 hours. (perfect for a pre-bed shake)
But TBH I'm stumped now. I can buy all of the raw ingredients, and I can get em cheap. Tomorrow I'm calling a few additive companies to enquire about flavourings and preservatives (if necessary).. But my problem now is what bloody proportion of each type of protein goes into each type of shake.
Is it 50% WPI, 25% WPC, 25%CC?
or 33%WPI, 33% WPC, 34%cc?
argh
Once I get the mix right, perhaps I'll really do a big bulk buy, set up a brand of my own, and undercut all of the competition mwuhahhaha.. Add some carbs here, some NO2 there, an eca stack there.. I'm starting to feel like a mad chemist lol The possibilities are endless, and if I get good results from the flavouring investigation, I could have a plethora of tastes, "just the way I likes em"Last edited by elcrisp; 10-23-2006 at 05:52 AM.

hmmm but it does get tricky.. I'm even having trouble comparing it with US pricing.. Most of what we get in Oz is imported and stupidly overpriced, but the price I keep calculating (in Aussie dollars) is a little over $75/11pound. Throw in the conversion rate (total guess this, I haven't taken notice for awhile) and I'm guessing that comes out to about $45US/11pound.. But note, that's WPI, not WPC (which is significantly cheaper)..

Okay, I've finally place my order... One 20kg sack of WPI for $400AU, and one 20kg sack of calcium casseinate for $225..
That is WAAAAAY cheaper than the named brands
