GNC is way overprice, go somewhere else like vitamin world or something like that if you have one.

With the Creatine you have two options. One without sugar (dextrose) or one with. Creatine is shuttled into the muscle cells by way of a Glucose dependent membrane channel. Basically if you take Creatine with with sugar it will transport into the muscle cells faster and more effectively and less will be lost in the urine. If you get Pure Creatine monohydrate which is the cheapest you can take it with juice. Since fruit juice is composed of fructose it will be converted to glucose by the body. If caloric intake is a concern you can take it with just water or in a pill form (more expensive per gram). You may have to take a little more. You do not need to do a loading phase nessicarily since your body has a fininte amount that it can take up at any one period in time. However some people like to load and thats fine but it will cost you more to do that. After about a month your muscle cells will reach a saturation point were they can no longer uptake anymore creatine thus you can go into a maintainence phase where you reduce the amount to between 3-5 grams a day. Your body naturally recycles creatine in the cell this is why you can do a reduced intake. The exact amount to take will vary by weight. I take at 195 lbs only 5 mg per day. when Im on a maintaince phase I take 3 mg per day. There is also Creatine ethyl ester, but I dont know enough about that particular compound to give you any advice on.

As far as protein ask for samples to taste and look for ones that have low sugar and low fat totals. And try to avoid ones that contain the amino acids
methionine and homocysteine They contain sulfur. The sulfur will be turned into Hydrogen Sulfideby the bacteria in your intestines and will give your the farts really bad. Most protein powders take these two out some dont so be away of that.

Note: Dextrose is another name for Glucose.

For bulking purposes, I recommend a flavored/sugared creatine called Evolve. It has about a 3rd of the carbs/sugars as cell tech, but seems to actually hit harder. Tastes better and is about half the cost to use, too.

However, I personally don't want to bulk, so I use an esterfied creatine. CR5 is the name of the one I use. It also has krealkalyn in it too. 6 caps a day is all I need.

I have tried both the powder and the pill form and i really cant tell a difference. I too am skinny (6'2" 170) and i like to use a weight gainer to help me get my cals up. I like the Heavyweight gainer 900 or the BSN weightgainer. If u want to go cheap but still good u can get just plain creatine and plain dextrose and mix them togather. Hit me up with a pm cause i got plenty more supps in my diet that are very helpful.

pills are more expensive per gram, but for me they are a lot easier to remember to take and to actually want to take. Creatine monohydrate in powder form is not soluble in water.

My diet use to be slacking, but I started working out heavily recently so I've been eating regularly 4-5 times per day mixing in Protein shakes throughout the day. Don't have set diet, but eat lots of meats and go out often and eat all day long.

It would help if u had some type of scheduled diet. I recently started a bulking diet and it helped so much to have it layed out. I eat 8 times a day and ive gained 7 pounds in the past 2 and a half weeks.

If u go to the diet forum open up the unoffical how to bulk thread and look at the sample diet. I just modified this diet with a weightgaining shake. I intake about 2000 calories a day just from that weightgainer.

There is no really mystery to diet or any magic diet. all you need to do is get a health mix of fats, carbs and protein. Everybody tries to make these ungodly complicated diet programs. But believe me if you eat right your body will know what to do.

Evolve only comes in powder form. It tastes and works better than Cell Tech.

Evolve is hard to find online. If you can't find it online, PM me and I'll give you their number to the place I get mine as I know they ship free of charge. They do for me at least.

Without a proper diet you wont get anywhere. creatine is a waste of money, save that money and spend it on food. Creatine wont make you gain weight, FOOD will. The difference from taking creatine vs. not taking it is next to nothing. All the hype surround creatine is a lie, I've been there, I'm sure when we all started we fell for the claims that you'll gain 10lbs-15lbs from doing one month of creatine. Then you have to go off for a month because of the "liver toxicity" and all the "damage" it's doing to your body. At 150lbs you'll benefit WAY more getting your diet together, and if you're not willing to do that, don't bother starting in the first place.

That's my rant for the day, I embarrassed myself asking these questions when i first started to. My advice, save the money and go buy more food. Eat eat eat, this is one of the best places to get the information you need. Use it.

There have been thousands of studies on creatine, and practically everyone has shown that its very effective and has no toxic side effects.

that whole sentence was sarcasm, there are little/no side effects. but i disagree that it is "very" effective.

I was going to say, you sounded like one of those old old old school BB's from 1995 that said creatine would cause your kindneys to fail and sh-t like that.
Sorry hard to pickout sarcasm in the threads sometimes.

I put 25 lbs on with creatine last winter. It works for some and not for others. I have another friend who took it religously and had a great diet but just couldnt gain at all with it. First time i took it bam put like 30 lbs on my bench in a month

first of all NEVER go to GNC...ever!!! Search online everyone here can give you cheap sites to order off....2nd, I know a few people who were really skinny and cell tech seemed to put some lbs on them, along with taking a weight gainer(i like cytogainer) shake a couple times a day. But like everyone else says...EATTTTT..learn to like oats and tuna. brown rice, pasta, yams, etc...i would aslo make sure your work out routine is in check...big compound movements and heavy. 6-8 reps...give it time bro. keep eating, lifting hard, and asking questions and you will be fine

get most of your calories from real food, but if you want have a weight gainer one time during the day, and one for post work out...you know you should be eating minimum 6 times a day if you want to grow right? you should be asking more questions about what one of your meals should look like instead of asking about shakes all the time

Agreed 100%. Dude, you gotta get over being finicky about food (You're not Morris the cat, are you?). Repeat this mantra 1000 times a day, "EAT TO GROW...EAT TO GROW...EAT TO GROW..."

Protein / weight gainer shakes and creatine will help, but they are SUPPLEMENTS, meaning they supplement an existing diet of good, healthy foods. If you get your diet in check first, you'll see a whole lot more effects when you add the supps.

IMO, as far as creatine supps go, Vitargo CGL is the best. Even better than CEE. Way superior to creatine supps using dextrose or maltodextrin. It uses waxy maize starch and is sugar free. I'm not saying that other creatine supps don't work (I got nice gains/pumps from CellTech and Cell Mass), but NOTHING comes close to VCGL. Anyhow, I'm getting ahead of myself here. Again, get your diet in order first...THEN add the supps.
