On PP, I didn't notice them really. Then again, Im not sure if I did alot of running.

But even so, they are not near as bad as SD shin splints.

it seems i get it when i put on alot of wieght quickly, remember to ice your shins after you run, and stretch them out good before you run.

i ran a cycle pp and did like 15 min cardio after workouts and i never got them. i put on a good 15 pounds and still nothing.

if you started running pr sprinting while on your cycle that could be the reason. i use to get shin splints when basketball season would start. the bad thing about them is they don't go away until you can rest them thoughly for a few weeks.

Shin splints are often caused by an imbalance between the calves and the anterior tibialis muscles. Basically, your calves are so much stronger than the front of your shin muscles that when you run or perform aerobic movements (stair climbing, running, eliptical training, etc.), that your anterior tibialis muscles can't keep up.

Soak them in an ice bath for 15 minutes on/then off/then on again. This will flush the lactic acid and reduce the amount of inflammation occurring.

Next time, try using free weights to strengthen your dors***exion movements, which will help to prevent shin spints.

However, PP/SD may cause them - I have no experience to go by.
