    Protien shakes

    Hey fellas,

    I have an old question regarding whey shakes... I am now only taking it post workout 50 grams ptn. ... Should I go for more?! Or this one is enough?!

    Your body won't be able to digest any more than that at one time, so 50g is def enough protein. Any more and it's just a waste.

    one is good but make sure you eat a good meal within an hour after your shake.

    I only use whey protein PWO and derive the rest from food. The main objective is to meet your daily need for protein and spread out throughout the day. Hence you should only use more whey(better then nothing) if you are not meeting your daily requirements but try to avoid meeting those requirement via shakes.

    omg so all those 51g protein shakes I was drinking I wasnt getting that 1g

    haha i know youre f-ing around but for people who dont know everyone can absorb different amounts of protein ***ending on their size

    that shouldnt be the only protein your taking in during the day tho...whats your diet like?

    No, it's not the only source of protien for sure... I have almost 5 meals a day :

    1- Breakfast : eggs, milk cheese
    2- 2 cans of tuna with no oil
    3- Steak or chicken breast
    4- PWO
    5- Steak or chicken breast

    With some carb 2 hours before and immediately after my WO

    What do you think of this ?!!

    the carb before you workout need to be simple carbs though... like white bread!! or even a strudel, or pop tart. simple carbs are digested alot quicker! if you ate some pasta before you would just wanna sleep lol i know i would.

    and also your body can only use up 30 g or less all at once. so yes you actuall wasted more than one gram but oh well proteins cheap.

    Really....from what I've seen 50g is considered by most as the maximum amount that can be absorbed, but it varies as each individual's factors influence this. Where did you get this info? If you have a study or article could you post? Thanks

    you cant tell people how much THEIR body can use everyone is different

    SO, Basically, use only enough of the shakes to fix the fact you aren't able to eat enough in a day to get all the nutrients you need to grow?
