    Multi-Vitamin Question

Hey everyone. I am sure this is the dumbest question ever asked but I seriously want to know. I take GNC's Mega Men vitamins daily and I was wondering what disadvantages would I notice if I stopped taking them. I have taken them for about a year now and I never really never felt different from them at all.

Its kinda like protection for you body, and keeps everything running smooth. Atleast you know you are getting the vitamin and minerals you need. Food isnt consistant and its hard to get everything you need via food. Im not sure you would ever really "notice" anything if you stopped. But they are vitally important to so many processes and funtions in you body. Its just good insurance. Id stop buying protein powder before I gave up my multi.

If its the cost...Mega Men are awesome, but pretty pricey. Im sure you could get a lot of recomendation of much more cost effective multis that are just as good out there.

    Thats one opinion anyways.

I take a real low dose multi just for insurance. Intense training has got to deplete nutrients and food alone may not be enough.

It's not a dumb question, but I definitely wouldn't stop taking your multi. As was already stated, although we like to think that by eating healthy we get all of our daily vitamins/minerals, it's nearly impossible without supplementation.

I find that without a multi I feel less energetic, and my recovery seems a little slower.

Pricewise, there are better choices out there.

thanks every one for your input. It all makes sense therefor I will not stop and I will continue to use them.

Titleiat--------- what are the better choices out there? I would have no problem switching from Mega Men to something else if it's better.

    Again thank you all.

Im a little confused by that as well. Even if vitamins like A,D, and E are fat soluble..... if taken individually, I could see how you could maybe take certain ones at different times. But as a multi how would you cycle?

He may mean those vitamins can build up in fat in your body and become toxic, and maybe thats what you are talking about. But I doubt that would happen just by taking a multi every day. Especially with someone working out who made need more of those vitamins in the first place. But maybe thats not what you are saying at all.

i know some members here find it a problem taking 11 pills in a row, but something i NEVER did in my past was take multi vitamine.

I never took multivitame. But i def reccomend it. I started taking Animal Pak; that's what i meant when i said 11 pills in a row. Of course there are many multi vitamines out there in one pill, but that is what i chose.

I know when something feels good with my body, and ever since i've been taking it, i do feel healthier. I also have my diet in better shape. Intaking more protien, carbs, etc... pretty much eating healthier, and i believe this multivitamin in the cherry on the on the cake. Even though multivitamin's actually should be the BASE of anyone looking to get, or maintain healthy.

    I give it 5 star.
