    cheap RTD meal replacement alternative?

I usually buy the ABB mass recovery rtd meal replacements by the case. I need them for when I am at work or school and can't get a meal in. Plus, I can knock one out quick when I'm at work and I don't have time to eat. They are costing me too much though (60 bucks for 24). Is there a cheaper solution? Maybe something I can take with me and mix myself that tastes ok without milk? I've never found a good powder that tastes decent with water. Maybe you guys can suggest a cheaper rtd that still has carbs and protein. Ideas?

syntrax matrix 5.0 is a good sustained release protein powder that mixes really easy with water and tastes good. id drink that and eat a granola bar for some added carbs or add some oats to the shake. only like 35 bucks for a 5 pound bag too!

I just started using lean mass shakes from Prolab. I get it for $39 for 20 packs at Vitamin Shop. Tastes good in water.
