    Understatement of the year.

Dude put himself at risk for stroke.

To the thread originator: You DO know that viagra increases NO release right?

Hey Bro, Viagra doesn't increase NO release. Viagra block enzym called PDE5.
PDE5 exists in the penis, it works to breakdown cGMP. cGMP caused blood vessel to dilate, dilatation caused blood fill in the corpus penis. Pressurized blood make the penis erected.
Nitric Oxide created by NANC nerve cell. When brain send a signal, NANC create NO.
The nitric oxide stimulates an enzyme called guanylate cyclase in nearby cells, and this enzyme starts producing a chemical called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).

It was an oversimplification on my part.

    NO is a cell-signaling agent.

It is important to note this function...because effects attributed to it are actually secondary: dependent on processes it signals.

    Anyway... i've digressed.

Viagra is arguably a NO potentiator.

Scroll down the line w/ regard to the cycle it initiates.

By blocking the PDE, viagra keeps the cycle going.

As long as the brain continues to signal NO release, the NANC cell will continue to release it.

cGMP levels go up... thus it can be said that viagra makes the initiated NO release more effective, and allows for more release of NO... sans degredation of the end effects.

While Viagra blocks PDE5 primarily, it doesn't effect it solely.

Adding a NO releasing supplement on top of a substance which blocks the degredation of cGMP, exacerbates the situation.
