    Milk Thistle/Liver Cleansing Question

so from reading, i see that milk thistle is a very good liver cleanser

but here are my 2 questions.....

    1. what should the dosage be like a ED for it to be effective and how long should i be taking it for to help out my liver?

    2. since it helps clean out the liver, will it destroy all the supplements/vitamins im taking? or it wont effect anything?

reason why i ask is because i saw a bottle of it at the whole foods supermarket, but the concentration was pretty low per servings/pill im not quite sure. are you supposed to be taking this stuff like 2-3g a day?!

and when i do start taking it, it wont destroy my other supplements right? wont destroy my arginine, carnitine, creatine, bcaa, whey, zma, glutamine, etc... etc... that im takin as party of my diet?

thank you guys very much for clearing this up for me!!

I take a 250mg Standardized Milk Thistle capsule with every meal as should you. It is not a liver cleanser but more of a liver helper. It will not destroy your supplements at all. If anything it will let them work better. I hope this helps brother!!!!!!!!!

milk thistle could be ran everyday of your life for that matter.
I know a few friends who take it year around.
If your off cycle, and wanna take it, take 1000-1500mg ED, if on cycle, 2500-3000mg ED

its not really a detox supp, it helps with overall liver function.

combining it with NAC works great in killing free radicals in the body.
    they r both cheap also.

check out wonderlabs.com they have 1000mg milk thistle gel caps for pretty cheap.

Research has established that NAC exerts powerful antioxidant effects. In this role, NAC scavenges the body for, and neutralizes, harmful free radicals that can cause oxidative damage to muscle tissue, bodily organs, and DNA. As an antioxidant it may reduce oxidative stress. NAC may also boost immune system function by acting as a glutathione pre-cursor.
In addition to protecting the body from oxidative damage resulting from normal metabolism and environmental toxins, NAC has shown positive effects on liver function, protecting the liver from heavy metals like lead and mercury.
