There are always threads getting started asking for member's experience with particular supplements so I thought it might be helpful to share my experience with every supplement I can think of that I have taken, I am going to break them into Subgroups for easy reference. I will also state the ones I think are best and the ones I plan on repeatedly using.
Multi-Vitamin
1. GNC 1 a day - basic, good to start off with but never felt any benefit from it.
2. Vitamin Shoppe (VS) 2 a day - same deal, made my pee green
3. Universal Animal Pak - if you can handle all the pills (11), i love it. There is a distinguished difference between when im taking animal pak and not, most noticably, my recovery time from workouts, my immune system function and overall health
My choice here is animal pak, i have used it for about 2 years and dont plan to ever stop.
Protein Powders
Before I comment on protein powders, I want to state that I dont respond much to them, I never started seeing major results and gains until i was getting the vast majority of my macros from whole food sources. i eat at least 6 meals a day. the only situations i use protein powder is if i add it into something for flavor (pancakes, oatmeal) or if i need somethnig in my stomach quick and dont have time to cook/eat. anyhoo moving on...
VS protein - nothing special
Musclemilk - tastes great, I still use it from time to time but more as a treat than anything else
Healthy n' Fit anabolic muscle - best i have found so far, high amino acid content and absorbs well and tastes good.
Isopure - too expensive
ON 100% whey - I prefer carbs in my shakes so this isnt for me.
N-large2 - garbage
cytogainer - really really good. on the same level if not better than anabolic muscle
my choice is a tie between cytogainer and healthy n fit anabolic muscle
Creatine
Monohydrate - not for me, i get bloated in the stomach area really bad. however, i do take 5 gs (cause i have a bottle lying around) after i do a large amount of cardio and sweating.
Kre-alkalyn - pretty good but i needed to take triple the dose to feel anything
beta alanine - put this here cause its somewhat related, it works but as with kre alkalyn i had to take a lot of it.
CEE - have tried a few different versions of CEE, nothing too special until i discovered cellmass from bsn, this stuff works great for me. only drawback is its expensive as ****! i plan on trying to buy the ingrediants seperately and making my own homebrewed cellmass next time im taking CEE
My choice here would be Cell mass tho
Amino Acids
animal nitro - bunch of caps once again, found it good but not that good.
animal nitro g - its a powedered form of animal nitro with 70 g of dextrose per serving, best thing i have tried to date, i take it post workout
bulk amino acid powders - taste like ass
glutamine - has its uses, i took it while recovering from a broken collarbone and i think it helped me to retain muscle
my choice here is animal nitro g however, when i run out of this, i plan on in an effort to save money buying Waxy maize and bulk aminos and mixing them myself, im hoping that the sugar will cancel out the taste of ass that amino acids have! ha
Pre workout supps
No-explode - didnt work for me
NO shotgun - absolutely insane for the first few months, i eventually got immune to it
superpump 250 - same deal as NO shotgun, i started to get the shits from it too
armageddon - currently taking it, love it so far!
amp02 - didnt like it, dont like swallowing all the caps.
straight l-arginine/l-ornithine - works really good, i either take it preworkout or b4 bed(its supposed to help the body release hormones)
my choice would be overall no shotgun, but so far i have no complaints about armageddon either
Designer OTC Supps/PH's
superdrol/oxodrol 12 - best shit i have ever taken, read my logs and youll understand. however gains were not as intense 2nd time around.
phera plex - sucks, made me bloated and didnt feel much from it.
mass tabs - currently taking them, similar effects as superdrol
promagnon 25 - got me really cut and dry but i didnt see much strength or size gains
my choice here is superdrol hands down
other random stuff
myogenx - love it, still take it. i think it has really helped me to keep the gains i have made from my superdrol usage
trib - nothing great, feels awesome first few days then tapers off.
dermacrine/dermacrine sustain - i used this after pct from sd, it helped greatly for me to keep my gains and the pumps were insane, time consuming with the transdermal delivery however.
my choice here is myogenx
