I believe everyone is different and can digest and incorporate protein differently and also that weight and age makes a difference, so I don't really think there's a straight answer. I think you should just divide the amount of protein you require per day by the number of meals you have per day, and that's how much protein you should per meal. IMO, I wonder what the other guys here think?

I also found this, It might help:

Food / Digestibility of protein (%)
    --------------------------------------------------------
    Eggs 97%
    Meats, poultry, fish 85%-100%
    Milk 81%
    Wheat 91%-95%
    Corn 90%
    Soybeans 90%
    Other legumes 93%-85%

I have always read that around 50g is the maximum the body can absorb efficiently without waste in one sitting. Every person is different though.

i do eat 6 diff meals but most of my evening meals contain baked chicken breast ( large sized) i measured my chicken breast on weigh machine the other day and the protein amount it gave me was around 80 g i believe if i am not mistaking. Is it better to cut the breast into half and eat it between 2 meals or will my body be able to absorb all the protein without wasting??

Meat protein & supps protein is different it will take your body alot longer to digest the meat so you arnt waisting it, its just staying with you longer. However downing 80g protein shake is gonna be in & out within a half hour to an hour & your body wont use all of it in that amount of time.

Yea I heard in biology class that the body cant use anymore than 50g taking in at once. But the type of protein is going to matter.

Its up for debate. Depends on the person, on the type of protein, etc.

I usually just get my total protein intake, and divide it by 6, for each meal, and it usually comes to around 40-50 grams for each meal.

id stick with 40 to get 100% out of it. and take enzymes and/or probiotics. if your intestines cannot digest it youre wasting it. you can use more if you take enzymes/probiotics. this is a fact. eat your yogurt!
