    How fragile is whey?

A fella in my gym was adamant that Syntrax Nectar's effectiveness is diminished if it is shaken rigorously or blended and that as such it should be mixed by stirring alone. He couldn't be more specific as to whether it destroys the aminos or what.

So my first question is: Does anyone buy this or is it bollocks?

Secondly, I have relaxed my diet and have started to include whey concentrate and skimmed milk. I have just experimented with Dymatize Elite mixed with milk and microwaved. It tastes so so good!

So the other question is does this damage/diminish it's effectiveness?

this is untrue. using common knowledge found on the back of just about every tub of protein, typically called the easy step, you can add water/milk and blend your protein. using this knowledge in print and picture form, it would leave me to believe that you could blend Nectar and that you should do this to your friend.

Nectar is great, i actually tried there new chocolate truffle Nectar. amazing but to expensive and i no longer support a company that goes after bodybuilding members, forums, and retailers. search if you dont know what i am talking about.

I don't rely purely on what I read on tubs.

Also don't give 2 shits how they sell more if the product suits my purpose.

Thanks for replies, all. Looks like I can shake that mofo, but no more chocolate mint in the microwave (shame!).

you bet bonded proteins are only degrade in extreme temperature conditions. i believe ~340F is the heat temp when it begins to degrade. only thing that really denatures protein powder would be by cooking it or slow exposure to air (expiration). other than that, your fine with the normal uses of protein powders.
