    GI Tract Problems

hey guys- after lurking for at least a year now, i've finally come across a problem that needs more than the search function. i'm taking 9 amp02 pills with 7 grams glutamine 30 min before workout. w/o lasts about 60-90 minutes depending on cardio. after workout, i'm drinking a pre-mixed gnc fruit punch xxx mass drink (50 grams of whey iso and 120 grams of carbs (mainly maltodextrin)) along with 4 MRI CE2 pills (2.8 grams total of CEE HCL). i've used amp02 with no problem, glutamine no prob, powdered chocolate flavor xxx mass no prob, creatine mono no prob. on this past wednesday, i started using the bottled/pre-mixed xxx mass coupled with CE2 post w/o for the first time. about an hour after consumption, my stomach started gurgling. that's when the magma sh*ts started. a few hours later and i was back to normal. its been getting better each day...

based on the fact that there's CEE HCL in the amp02, and i tolerate that just fine, i wouldn't think the mri ce2 would cause a problem. same goes for the gnc xxx mass as i've used the powder for over a year. i'm stumped guys. i've read that a large amount of creatinine can cause the sh*ts. but, i hardly think that 2.8 grams of creatine constitutes a large amount.

will this get better with time? or should I switch some things up?

    thanks,

thanks for your reply stallion. i was thinking about taking the creatine imediately after w/o. and drinking the shake 30 minutes later. maybe vice-versa. or taking 2 ce2 pills in the morning, 2 in the evening while keeping everything else the same. ahh... the joys of experimentation.

try switching to creatine gluconate over CEE/mono. due to the added ethyl group in CEE, it breaks down into creatinine MUCH faster than other forms like monohydrate. monohydrate typically holds water weight, something you dont want when cutting in your case. also try taking some enzymes (NOW makes a good one) with each meal or a product called Gut Health if the problem doesnt get better. this should help with the breakdown and allow you to absorb more nutrients, which is always better. i find that i get short-lived side effects when starting certain new products, it should subside from the sound of it.

also, amp2 does not contain CEE. it is purely a thermogenic stimulant. i would also drop the 120g malto carbs post workout to maybe 30g malto or some real food shortly after your shake.

cool. i'm not cutting right now, though. just general athletic training. amplify 02 (see here at agxsports dot com) does indeed have cee hcl in it. i'm pretty sure its the post w/o shake causing the problems. i drank one on an empty stomach this morn around 9 and am still feeling the effects.
