Waxymaize is great. It's a complex carb. Carbohydrates, as all of you know pull the nutrients, or hydrate, into your muscles. After a workout, you of course all know to take a protein shake, after taking that shake, you drink some waxymaize and it pulls the protein into your body at a much faster rate. It's like a supercharger for a car.

    Works great!

Yeahhhh def NOT a complex carb. I love it and I use it first thing in the morning and PWO when bulking, but it is in no way a complex carb. It is basically the fasting digesting (highest molecular wieght) carb that exists. It def helps shuttle nutrients and protein into muscle cells.

Actually it DEFINITELY is a complex carb. It's not a simple carb/sugar!!!!!!!!!

    Taken off their website..............

glucEVOL is a long chain complex carbohydrate derived from the ultra high density waxy maize starch. Waxy maize is the hottest trend and most widely used carbohydrate throughout the bodybuilding industry today!

glucEVOL's unique sugar free, pharmaceutical grade blend of waxy maize acts like an internal vacuum by pulling nutrients and water directly to the muscle bellies and virtually bypassing digestion in the stomach. This "vacuum like process" is activated by its high molecular weight which is more than 100 times greater maltodextrin and nearly 3000 times greater than dextrose. Due this high molecular weight and rapid absorption, there is virtually no bloating or stomach discomfort.

Your right. I just meant that it was super fast digesting, but it is by definition a long chain complex carb. Sorry.

The more reading I'm doing on post workout nutrition the more it seems I should have just stuck to my oats or bread post workout because it seems as though protein synthesis is more important than how fast you refill your glycogen storage. Because aminos are the main nutrient signals for protein synthesis not insulin. But then again people will argue both sides of the story till I probably die. I wish everything was just black and white. But then again this wouldn't be so fun. I liked for someone to take the other side of the tracks........ You know for a productive debate that could be helpful to all.

I don't know, I just read all of these studies that show otherwise but I like the feeling of being full after a workout and I noticed when in-taking lets say 50 g of oats I don't "fill" out as much as I do with the Waxy maize and gatorade (120g of carbs). And since I'm a bodybuilder I go more by what I look like not what works on scientific paper. Kinda like Ronnie did. You know, oops I shouldn't eat cheat meals all the time, oops I don't need to intake 9000 calories a day , oops I won 8 Mr. Olymipa's. So pretty much I'm on the fence but I understand the studies that prove my method wrong.
