Glutamine
Is it true to consume 5 grams of glutamine pre-workout, but not after workout as it fights for absorption with the glutamine peptides in whey.

it is good to take 5g before and after you workout so check the serving amount in your protein shake. glutamine peptides are better than free form glutamine. it is also good to take during the day, specially when cutting. i include XF's ICE to sip before and during my workouts and take Thermolife G-tek periodically throughout the day. this helps to retain mass and recovery when cutting versus not taking this extra step and its worth the extra money IMO.

I do 5g before and 5g after along with bcaas and taurine. I buy the chewable glutimine, pricier but tastes good and accurate servings.

I'm getting mixed advise on how much to take now. I always did 5 grams before workout and 5 grams after workout and thats it for the whole day. This morning a very experienced bodybuilder told me that "dosage" will do nothing. He said you want at least 20 grams a day. Anyone agree?

i heard ideally to either do 5 grams in the morning or preworkout then 5 grams with your post work out meal (not post work out shake) or before bed to help slow the absorbtion of protein over the night.
