casein protein

okay so i'm going to start taking casein protein because i haven't been, and i don't want to be losing my muscle and stuff

so what kind of casein do you guys buy that is the best source?

i also usually eat like 2 tablespoons of l/f cottage cheese and a glass of milk before bed..... if that matters =]

that is actually not a bad route to take but if you want a good casein blend i enjoy XF's Ultra Peptide 1.0 (not 2.0) as it is pretty damn tasty. stay away from 100% Casein from Optimum and a few others if you are concerned with taste. Ultra peptide gets my vote by far, great company and taste great.

i believe what you are speaking of is whey protein isolate and i do currently use All The Whey's Isolate for my post workout shake but he wants a casein based protein powder. ATW is a good company, since you spoke of them, you can try their micellar casein whey product. i enjoy their flavoring systems a lot so i have faith it wont be to bad.

yeah i know what he was saying i was just braggin on the cinnamun bun. i have isolate post workout, blend for any other time besides bed time wich i use caisen in chocolate flavor. you want that discount code ralph?

i take optimum's protein, so i guess i'll just try their 100 percent casein protein. i'll also look into XFs peptide 1.0 (what flavor?)

also, how many scoops should i be using, since it's before bed and all?

reread my post, i wouldnt use ON's 100% Casein if i were you ... there are better choices for the same price trust me. i use ultra peptide chocolate but i here the PB choc. is the shit to. i would use 1-2 scoops in milk before bed.

i think casein protein buy optimum is very good i only get chocolate supreme but i reccomend 1% or nofat cottage cheese instead with a little black pepper and hot sauce as whole food is the best Just My Opinion though.

lol food is king but you can actually go to nutraplanet.com and buy both the all the whey isolate, ultra peptide 1.0 or any other casein blend, and anything else you want. they have great prices and are one of the only companies i deal with now.
