I read that 5g per serving 4-5 times/day is optimal. I myself get to do it about 3-4 times/day

don't take glutamine with your protein shake PWO as the precursors in my protein powders(glutamic acid in this case) fight for absorbtion with the glutamine

    Agreed....Kinda.

    5g morning, 10g pre/post, 10g before bed.

5g morning, 10g before bed on non-training days.

I notice that I dont ache as much taking glutamine. I've even tried massive doses of 40g+ and then I really dont ache! But its not very cost effective.

    Plus I like aching too!

Glutamine is best to take about 4 times a day or so. I think the best schedule it to take in the morning, pre- and post-work out, and in the evening (if it doesn't keep you up at night). The dose should be about 20mg total (so about 5 mg each time). Take less glutamine on days you don't work out, as your body doesn't need it as much, and it can upset the body's balance of amino acids. I get mine online, where I get all my supplements (seacoastvitamins.com).
