    multi V question

i do most of my workouts at night time and get home around 9 or so and eat all night, question is, is it ok to take a multi V late at night? i have a whole food mult that i take but 1 serving is 3 pills, so i normally take just 1 thru out the day.

Your getting that from your food. Taking in too many vitamins will just give you expensive urine.

a multi v is dirt cheap. just take it in the morning and at night.

na man, you can find cheap multi-v's that are great. I'm using "natural man" by NDS right now, and it wasn't real expensive.

Crap or not , cheap or not , it still doesn't make sense. Your body won't absorb all these extra vitamins.

    A waste of money.

If vitamins are a waste then you can argue that whey, bcaas, glutamine are also a waste.

That would be fine, tkae it with protein since it should aid w/ absorption.

most doses aren't high enough for you to waste the vitamin's if it's taken twice a day. Most vitamins even suggest taking it twice a day..

    Use your head.

He is taking a supplement. What is a supplement ? Its taking something in place of another. In reality you shouldn't need any if you eating correctly (that includes whey).

^^ almost completely agree with that. other than the fact that most people don't get every single vitamin they should just from the food they eat. but they should get most of them. When i dont take my multi-v, I don't really care because I know I have a solid diet..

I know that, outside of this realm in the world where people eat empty calorie foods which are lacking neccesary nutrition it would be a good idea to at least supplement with a multivitamin. Yes some of it won't get absorbed, I know that no matter what vitamins you go with some of it won't get absorbed which is why they will have 3000% of the daily value of a vitamin to get some of it to absorb. Same concept with high protein diets. You eat excess in hopes some of it gets ultilized when it is needed.

Nobody is getting scammed by certain multivitamins. Vitamins are very expensive to produce if you want a descent one that will actually absorb so the way I look at it the ulra cheapos you buy at the dollar store could be considered a scam vs high end vitamins like ultra preventative vitamins by Vitamin Research Products. Bottled water is ridiculously overpriced. So I'd have to go with bottled water.

this thread could get rediculously long if we started talking about water lol. but tap water is horrible for you considering the chlorine, floride, possibly lead, not to mention all the pharmaceutical drugs that are now being found in water from people flushing their drugs down the toilet, which could build up your tolerance to antibiotic drugs for when you may actually need them. but bottled water is a waste money, thats why i buy it by the jug but in lil 20oz bottles...waste for sure. (if u want floride for your teeth, then brush your teeth more and use mouth wash)

Bottled water isn't any better, you can find nitrates in bottled water which you don't typically find in tap.

Tap water sucks in my opinion. It also depends on where you live too.

I am a firm believer in multi-v's. Not all of us can eat 6 meals a day with all the proper vitamins and minerals. Check out opti-men by Optimum Nutrition. It also has aminos in them and stuff for your prostate and colon. Ok sorry for sounding like a salesman...LOL
