    Calcium intake limit

Hello i have been getting 5-10 grams of calcium per day and i just realised after i read on the net that i could get http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypercalcaemia.The highest limit i could find was 2,5 grams per day http://milk.procon.org/viewanswers.asp?questionID=815 .I take chewable calcium(carbonate).I have been doing this for 2 months.I just liked their taste and when i eat them i have no chocolate cravings(i noticed this and started taking them). My stool is also more dense so to speak.

You think i should stop or will i be ok?

    Thankou

P.S i also have hypothyroidism and i am on 4x0,1 mg of T4 per day.

this is from from a pro with vit's(my wife) ... go down to one gram a day(if you are a girl you could go no higher than 2 grams), and you should take vit d with it as well to help absorb. the dosage on vit d should be one half of the calcium ...

note: (from my pro opinion) if you keep taking the dose you are now and fart and talc comes out you are def taking tooooo much

I don't believe synthroid would affect calcium levels. But I'm not a doctor so I can't say the definitively.

Cut back on your calcium intake, that's all.
