Yeah it seems most supplements dont work well for most...but i think thats because people have huge expectations. It's a supplement....NOT a prohormone. I think most of its work is done internally and you dont even feel it...but in the end it helps you better recover. I would have to also say that if someone gave me a pill filled with sand and told me it would give me tons of energy....i would probably go into the gym convinced it was giving me energy and push myself harder then usual...Why? Simply because my mind was convinced it was helping even though i was taking in sand...Just a stupid example of my point lol. I'm excited about getting the amp 02 though, its been awhile since ive had any supplement. So we shall see!

Whats the reason to eat it with fruit? I usually eat at work around 5:30pm...head home...take my supplements at 6:30 then hit the gym at 7. My pre-workout supplements are always taken without food...BUT with food in my stomach. Your suggesting eating say...an orange at 6:30 with the amp 02? Whats the benefit?

    3 fold:

~some of the Nuerotropics specifically Dmae and Vinpocetine increase in uptake and utilization with co-injestion of solid food

~ Slight insulin response activates insulin to allow for more permutation FASTER and of course uptake as well

~ carbohydrate energy initializes fat burning process and some of the other ingredients "piggy back" onto that reaction

I will give it a try......im not a big fan of raising my insilun levels at all though...hence why i include Fat in all my meals to decrease this...BUT for pre-workout its not going to make a difference

So just got home now after working out and doing some personal training...I have to say this shit works awsome. The one thing i noticed the most was by the end of the workout i had the same amount of energy as i did in the beggining..usually im exhausted by the end..especially on power training days. I shall see how long this effect keeps up...so far so good! thumbs up

  22. #22
Honestly, no offense to AMP02 because this isn't a comment geared towards insulting the supplement, and actually has nothing to do with the supplement at all. But, with your regimen. If you leave the gym with as much energy you went in with, you aren't working out correctly. Every muscle needs to be worked to temporary exhaustion to reap the full benefits of your work out. Most people don't like being told how to work out, and I don't mean to insult you or anything, I'm just telling you out of experience.

I couldnt disagree more with you....If you knew me and the effort that goes into each of my workouts you'd think differently. I've been training over 4 years natty, i know what it takes to get in a good workout, plus eating correctly doesnt hurt either. Like i said...i'm usually drained by the end of my workout, being natty forces me to push myself that much harder..BUT after todays workout i wasnt drained of my energy...on the ride home i felt like i could of went running for an hour...which to me is a sign that AMP 02 was infact doing something. I dont appreciate a comment like that when you know nothing about me. If you want to know something about me...learn this..I started out weight lifting at my exact height at 136lbs..hence this picture..
After 4 years of training natty... I dont have good genetics....however i am one of the most dedicated hard working motha ****as out there. So cheers to AMP 02 and damn any haters.

Thanks alot man.....been breaking my ass for awhile now. I deff notice the difference in this stuff compared to the original formula..also my training has both power lifting and hypertrophy training styles. Those workouts are later in the week, i will keep everyone updated on my feelings.

  26. #26
I guess I did offend you lol. You've made good progress in 4 years. congrats. But as a rule of thumb, if you enjoy working out, chances are you aren't working out correctly. If you've never thrown up from doing 1 set of curls to temporary muscle failure... you aren't taking full advantage of your time in the gym. Anyone that disagrees just doesn't know what they're talking about and has been lost in the skewed, outdated idea's of "muscle and fitness" articles for far too long. Keep in mind, I'm not just some asshole on here, I'm actually trying to throw you a few tips. But do what you want with what i've said. Regardless, you've made good progress. good luck.

I appreciate the advice....however i dont think puking should be anyones goal when going into a workout. I've come damn close when doing legs....but ONLY when doing legs. I only get the feeling of moaning in pain when doing other body parts...mostly from the lactic acid build up...especially from doing giant sets / super sets which most of my workouts revolve around.

It is not possible for the average human being to maintain Mike Mentzer like intensity. Its a damn fine goal but lets face it, not everybody gets 8 hours sleep, perfect nutrition, and some of us feel like crap from working 15 hours before lifting. Just something to think about.

I belive in only "killing it" on one lift on the day you go in, and on the other lifts you follow a more 'finnesse' sub failure approach

the body is very smart and it only needs a measure of stress in order to get 'AGR' an adaptive growth Response

so for Chest my workout is:

    Flat machine Press 5 sets
Low incline Db Presses 5 sets
    Cable Flys 3-5 sets
Decline hammer Strength Press 2-3 sets

ONLY on the incline DB presses do I "kill it and go to absolute failure and beyond and its more then enough

here is one of my clients Before and After in 10 weeks:
    Before
    after

    And another:
    Before

    and another:

And the pics he posted are well documented, both of the pics he posted paid him for his advice both diet and training ... it's an example of what diet and some supplementation (all legal and not prohormone) can do for you..

so, don't call bullshit so quickly, makes you look....hmmmm limited in your experience..

    Yesterdays workout looked like this.
    Upper Body Heavy
    Flat Bench Press: 205x8, 215x6, 225x4
Close Grip bent over wall rows: 180x10, 225x6, 225x6
    Standing Barbell Press: 115x9, 135x7, 155x4
    Skull Crushers: 70x10, 90x8, 100x6
    DB Curls: 35x8, 45x6, 45x4

I will compare #'s to next weeks workout

mentzer is someone everyone here should idolize and his knowledge should be utilized in the regimen based decisions we all make. You insult yourself in calling yourself less of a man if you discredit yourself in saying you can't carry out his intensity. There's no such thing as a work out plan that is not HIGH INTENSITY TRAINING based. Every other method is absolutely inferior. It has been scientifically proven, time and time again since the early 70's. How these outdated methods of weight training have survived and STILL thrive is beyond me.. I guess it's because of ignorance more-so than stupidity... only when you LEARN how to train correctly then don't (for whatever reason) do you truly transition from ignorant to just plain stupid..

I understand that the guy is very knowledgable and credible..However, how can anyone be so sure that they weren't cycling? They could be using AAS without telling a soul, including their trainer. If that was done through just diet, training, and good supplementation, then that's an incredible transition for both guys. I just find it very hard to believe.

Rattlehead, you need to post up pics and show us how your way is the best. I can tell you that there is not a style of training for everyone. I believe in varrying your intensity and volume. I did HIT for 3 month and was like damn. I loved it, but I can also tell you that my joints and CNS was shot. Now I went high volume and very slightly lowered my intensity for a little to give my body a break. Name of the game is progress. Stimulate not Annhilate.

  39. #39
you want pics and documented evidence? Read "The New High Intensity Training". It's by far one of the best books i've ever read. The evidence documented by various scientists, nutritionists, and some of the most respected people in the industry can be seen there. That would be a million fold better evidence than any pics I can post/show you. The people involved with that book completely turned the mentality of the "traditional beliefs" on it's head. http://www.google.com/products/catal...tle#ps-sellers

whats the web site that i can order it from? do you stack it with anything or just take it alone?
