That is true^^. Nicotene is a stimulant. Also, your body is constantly fighting to rid it's self from the toxins in cigs, so that aids in the fat loss as well. But, once you quit it's all down hill. Smoking is a terrible habit, quit asap if possible. Once you stop smoking it can have opposite effects (for a short time after you quit), and you can gain weight more rapidly. Its due to many reasons, one being your stress levels..

For men in their 30s and 40s, smoking increases the risk of erectile dysfunction (ED) by about 50 per cent.

    Did you know?
The British Medical Association estimates that up to 120,000 men have ED because of smoking.
Erection can't occur unless blood can flow freely into the penis, so these blood vessels have to be in good condition.

Smoking can damage the blood vessels and cause them to degenerate: nicotine narrows the arteries that lead to the penis, reducing blood flow and the pressure of blood in the penis.

This narrowing effect increases over time, so if you haven't got problems now, things could change later.

Erection problems in smokers may be an early warning signal that cigarettes are already damaging other areas of the body - such as the blood vessels that supply the heart.

Its wicked hard to stop when your spouce is also smoking. Me and my wife are great at quitting, but suck at staying quit.

You should tell your wife and/or smoking buddy's that you really want to quit. They usually try their damnest to keep you smoking. If you can say no for a few weeks usually they won't invite you to smoke as much.

The real key is you need to want to stop. If you don't really want to stop its going to be hard. I have had luck with patches. I only buy the 21mg patches. If I need to step down, then I cut the patch in half.

I just recently quit using wellbutran. Its a lot safer then someone of the new anit-smoking meds out there. Some of them will really mess you up, and if you are doing AS you should probably make sure you read up and ask questions before mixing them.

I have also quit by rationing the cigs off. I say I will only smoke 1-pack a day for 1-2 weeks, then I will go down to 18, then just step it down as you please. You will find that when you are down to only a few a day you are a lot pickier about when you smoke because you can only have a few a day. Then eventually your desire for smoking is weak and its no problem to go from 2 smokes a day to none.

I always have a sealed pack of smokes and matches in every car, and it has the date I bought them. I keep them as an emergency blanket and it seems to help knowing that if I really really need one I can always get one.

A buddy of mine quit because he made an agreement with himself and his wife. If he quit for 1yr he could buy a new motorcycle.

My main problem is after I quit, I force myself to smoke again. It tastes like pure monkey ass but I force myself to smoke them until I get hooked again. I think quitting is a lot easier then staying quit.

    Good luck

The best way to quit is when you get a chest cold, don't smoke as your desire for them drops way down, then just never pick em back up. That's what I did, quit after 2 years straight.

From time to time, i'll have a cig when enjoying a beer or drink with a friend having a good conversation. That's what they're meant for anyways. Not to be used every 5 minutes and abused. My buddys wife smokes 3 packs a day, pretty girl but god does that make her hideous.
