bcaas are the building blocks of muscle while amino acids are present throught the body for other functions. there are two groups of amino acid essential and non essential. the essential cannot be made in the body and need to come from outside sources while essential amino acids can be made inside the body. people take them to get the extra added amino acids and what not.

It is hype. The whole board will argue with me over it, but studies show no benefit to BCAAs over whole protein.

yuuup. your bcaas consist of leucine, isoleucine and valine. Can you get bcaa's from your diet or do you get them all from supplementation?

Believe it or not - I agree. All this bs about glutamine and bcaas ...never have understood it.... a good diet provides all we need.

Depends on your diet. The only time I take them is before my cardio.

not hype, also not a miracle worker. If you have the money, get some. I am loving this stuff called "xtend", it has really been working for me. I love it.

Intrabolic, purple wrath are some others that get good ratings.

You could just buy the bcaa in bulk but i've done this and the shit is just to nasty.

All amino acids are used in the building of muscles, not just 3. If you run out of one AA then protein synthesis stops all together.

No, eat a high protein diet and you are set.

Just to give an example, my protein power already contains 5 grams of BCAA per serving. What doses are people taking when they buy it in isolation?
