Whats your diet look like bro, can you list out a typical days intake (including the crunchberrys lol)?
PS - I turned 37 today, so I'm a little sensitive about the age thing right now myself, so I feel ya on that.

so you do full body workouts 5 times a week excluding legs and shoulders or your in the gym 5x a week i dont understand. and why dont you do legs or shoulders? injuries? working your abs will make your stomach look bigger if you one of those guys who goes over the the crunch machine and does 175lbs lol, to have abs you just need low BF%, so be careful of the exercises your do for core. also you CANNOT lose fat in one spot, so just needing to lose BF on your belly means you need to drop overall BF%

why trying to stay off carbs? You need carbs, good carbs with each meal
you need to work on EACH body part , not just pick and choose the ones you want bigger...the body doesn't work that way. The more you strengthen your LEGS, the stronger the rest of you body becomes as well !!
Legs are your foundation, weak foundation , weak building, strong foundation....well you get the idea
