    Exclamation "proprietary blend"

ive been wary of this term for some time now and after watching bigger stronger faster (documentary) I think I've just about had it with supplements. unless i can feel something working for me, like a pre-workout pump, I am done buying all these hyped up expensive products. for those of you who dont know yet, a "Proprietary blend" is used on most of the most popular supplements in the industry. it basically allows the company to use fillers such as maltodextrin and other shit to make it look like their supplements are full of their "key ingredients" when in fact the amount of key ingredients in them is miniscule and wont affect you at all. ie, a sup will contain 20,000mg of Hyper Muscle Stimulating Matrix Proprietary Blend. Then it will list something usually between 5 and 20 ingredients. Some of these ingredients will be dosed at say 100mg each, then the rest of the 20,000 is made up of fillers. the key is that they dont have to list the amount of each substance, just the overall amount of the proprietary blend!
for this reason and all of the misleading advertising, (ie, a research study showed that test subjects taking the "key ingredients" in Muscle Tech showed 300% more muscle gains than placebo"... well the actual products hardly have any of the key ingredients in them!!!! I am switching to the real raw stuff. If i want creatine I am buying raw CM. If i want a preworkout pump I am buying fubar or caffeine pills. something i KNOW works. no more paying for the fancy label and advertising for me.

I was a victim when I first started training, I think most are/were.

Now I get all my raws from bulk powders.co.uk (UK member) and make all my own stuff.

    Done.

everyone should invest time into learning how to read labels. you'll view every product and company differently. most companies just assume we're all idiots.. the fact that they are multi-million dollar corps for the most part is all the evidence they need to prove themselves right.
