Thread: Protein Isolate vs Protein Concentrate

    Protein Isolate vs Protein Concentrate

I'm aware that Protein Isolate is a more pure compound and carries less fat and lactose per serving but, besides price, is there really a difference when it comes to fueling muscle growth? Anyone have a preference? Will I see leaner gains with Isolate?

Whey protein is only as good as the cow it comes from. Look for whey protein that comes from grass fed cows not treated with chemicals.

Your body will be able to utilize more of the iso and it absorbs faster. Not enough of a difference to warrant buying it unless you are being really strict with macros. Just be wary of the AA profiles of protein powders when shopping.

If you want whey protein concentrate save money and just buy powdered milk.

Think of it as the difference between 86 and 92 octane fuel.
