    Recovery and sleeping pills

I couldn't really find a section this question would go with but thought supps would be close.

I have a really hard time falling asleep...for many years now. My Dr. gave me some sleeping pills to help me unwind and get some sleep. I would go for several days only getting 4 hrs a day. I know that is really bad for my goals but can't shut my mind down sometimes for sleep.

Anyway, I was wondering if sleeping pills can hurt the recovery process if taken a few hours after your work out. I doubt it can be any worse than only getting 4 hours of sleep...but just curious how it works.

    Thanks

I would seriously reccomend ZMA, I used to have insomnia, and I swear to god this makes me sleep like a baby, and you sleep so well too. It is also great for testosterone creation and thge recovery pocess after training, as well as other health issues. Look it up, it's much better than taking medication to fall asleep.

Thanks Traction, I had read some things about ZMA and the benefits of Zinc supplements. I do take a multi with 15 or 30mg of zinc. I will research ZMA.

phenibut will give you the best sleep of your life....i guarantee it! unfortunately, you can't use it on consecutive days, but the delicious, restful, intense sleep you get is AMAZING IMO

Is ZMA a supplement you can take continuously (without sides), and can yous tack it with a multi-vit which already contains zinc and magnesium?

You can take ZMA everynight, just make sure you don't take it with anything that contains calcium or the effects are negated. I took ZMA for a few months and received no benefits from it. My sleep patterns were actually worse while on it.

ZMA only "works" if your not getting enough zinc, magnesium, and B-6 i believe it is through diet/other supplementation.. if your getting what you read ont he back of the label through diet/supplemenents.. its really... really a waste of money
