how many grams of protein do u put in you shakes

how many grams of protein do u put in your protein shakes. normally i put about 50 grams in mine. 2 scoops of on whey. am i just wasting it though. i've heard that the body can only handle so much and you'll just piss the rest away.

im doin everything to save a buck these days. so if one scoop is all i just be using then i can make my protein last twice as long.

    20-30 grams

I think it would be good to ingest about 20-30g every 45minutes

Taking in 50-60g in a short amount of time will just make some of it go to waste

You should take in about 20-30... wait about a half hour-45 min, then take in another 30 or so

    Where did you read it?
For an average person 30g is good. A bbuildder of 220 lbs may need more.

Nah man you need 3g/lb of body weight!

J/k, 1.0-1.5 if a good rule of thumb, beyond that is just a waste.

    PWO

    24g whey
    20g probolic-sr
    72g waxymaize
    5G BCAA
    5-10 Glutamine
    100mg R-ALA
    1000mg Vitamin C
    1000mg phosphatidylserine

    Phosphatidylserine

Phosphatidylserine has been demonstrated to speed up recovery, prevent muscle soreness, improve well-being, and might possess ergogenic properties in athletes involved in cycling, weight training and endurance running. Soy-PS, in a dose dependent manner (400 mg), has been reported to be an effective supplement for combating exercise-induced stress by blunting the exercise-induced increase in cortisol levels.[3] PS supplementation promotes a desirable hormonal balance for athletes and might attenuate the physiological deterioration that accompanies overtraining and/or overstretching.[4] In recent studies, PS has been shown to enhance mood in a cohort of young people during mental stress and to improve accuracy during tee-off by increasing the stress resistance of golfers.[5]

now i'm not saying i'm right or wrong.. but i do feel 400-500 grams a day would be way too much for most people. now if u are a hard core body builder i'm almost sure u know alot better than me about your body.

but alot of new guys to the gym, weighing 180 at 15% bf, don't need more than 200 and a better diet.

I think the grams of your shakes depends from your pro intake.
Grams of shake= Pro intake/number of meals. For instance if you take 400g/day in 8 meals you're shake will be of 50g.

i would'nt buy brand name protein first of all. i buy 20 kg at a time and i eat it like no tomorrow.

best thing is mix up a 2 litre milk jug the night before i mix 12 heaped tablespoons which is about 200 gms then i drink the whole thing throughout the day. saves alot of washing etc.

I`m staying with in 1.6-2 grams per pound of body weight and is seems to be helping me add weight. It all depends on the size of the person I am 245lbs.

Agreed. If you want to gain weight up your carbs and healthy fats. A lot of pros don't consume 500g of protein per day.
