Vitamin D
hello,
Can anyone tell me if taking high dose vitamin d ( around 8-10,000 iu's daily) would affect calcium levels or the parathyroid gland in a negative way? I am not taking any calcium supplements. Thanks

I heard that vitamin d , especially the d3 form, is good.

i've heard of high doses of vitamin d for depression, anti-inflammatory, and musculoskeletal issues but that's about it. I don't know anything about taking 10,000 iu's, but i've heard of taking 1,000 iu's. i'd look further into supplementing with such high doses before actually doing it. you get enough vitamin D just by sitting outside for 20 minutes a day though.
