    Casein or Whey? or Both?

I'm looking for a good quality protein, it's my understanding that Casein protein is like a IV drip of protein that is slowly released in your system throughout the day. And my understanding of whey protein is that it's released in your system very quickly in large amounts, and the best time to drink a whey protein shack is right after a workout so it gets in your system faster.

so my question is when should you take casein and whey protein. should you mix both throughout the day? And what brands do you recommend for each.

Muscle Milk is garbage. Go with ON Casein and Whey.

Use the whey right after working out, casein right before bed.

I use ON casein and GNC brand iso protein. There are many options out there really. I love the taste of the ON brand products myself.

WOW, no sh#t we were just talking about that today at work, but we decided mainlining a macronutrient probably wouldnt be good, we were thinking a Ammino Acid Drip would be better.

^^ true. you look at all the pro bodybuilders, they only have a shake once a day after they workout. the other 7-8 meals come from real food.

fvck i hate it how people go on about what type of protien there taking. just have ur shit protien shakes no matter what they are and eat some ****ing real food.
ever thought about drinking a litre of milk instead of a protien shake it has 32gms of casien whey.. protien shakes dont make a radical diff in anything. what you should keep an eye on is your calorie intake. if you have that at a bodybuilders standard im %100 sure you would have enough protien in ur diet.
