    Cost friendly diets?

DI am thinking of switching to Muscle Milk for my protein and am planning to drink it in the morning, post workout, and right before bed. Is that a good choice or should I just get some less expensive protein for bedtime?

I know I should get more protein from meals but to be honest I have fo. ur kids and one income. I don't think I could afford to eat the way most of the diets say to eat. I don't think I could afford to eat a breast of chicken 3 times a day.

How can I do a decent diet without breaking the bank?

This should have gone in the diet section but the post started out to be just about the Muscle Milk then changed.

I believe there is better protein source out there that you can buy, with the some money you are spending on muscle milk, and for before bed casein is highly recommended.

You do not need to break the bank in order to attain your daily need of anabolic protein.

Red meat, chicken and fish maybe sources of rather substantial protein; however, with a BV of 93% and NPU of 88%, eggs are the cheapest and most accessible protein source, not to mention nowadays pasteurized eggs are highly accessible at very affordable prices. So, make sure you employ pasteurized eggs in your diet.

Mate you should on over to the diet section to better help your needs. You need to avoid having too many shakes they will not be helpful in the long run. Read this:

Lean steak, cottage cheese are the two best. There is also casein powder.

Man I hear you, I have 3 kids myself, And they eat different then me, and money is low, But I hit up wal-mart and get there box chicken and oatmeal, eggs, and try to hit up some yogurt.

2 box chicken will last me and the faimly maybe week and a half - 40can
Oatmeal (depends on the bag) but last me almost a month - 3can
    Eggs - 2 18packs last a week 8can
Yougurt I try to hit up the sale, but uslay 3or4 tubs - 8-10can

so right there 60can not to BAD and the kids eat the chicken and eggs.

I also go to the balk barn and grab soup mix and beans and at the end it cost me 3 bucks and I have soup for the whole week, just freeze it and grab when needed, add some stew beef or chicken and your good to go.

But I understand you forsure, it is hard to get what you need
