detour has made the best tasting bar every just came out. (designer whey is the maker of detour).

detour...the label is legit now. If you didn't notice the change in the taste and texterity (sp ?) of the bar when it first came out to now. IT HAS CHANGED A LOT!!

BTW, went from
Old
Fat 9g - sat 3.5g
Carb 21g -- sugar 6g
Pro 32g

New
Fat 10g -- sat 4g
Carb 26 -- sugar 9g
Pro 30g.

And new bar definitely tastes different. haha

Detour is the best tasting protein bar out there. It tastes like a snickers bar to me compared to other bars. And its got 30 something grams of protein.

As much as I hate MuscleTech, Nitro bars are my favorite and one of the best bars quality wise out there. Also solid protein bars are really good too. Some lean labrada bars are good too, but look at the ingrediants some of his bars have tons of gelatine in them.

lol pain...i hear ya, can't stand the protein or the creatine...but the nitrotech bars...as far as i'm concerned the only ones i want to consume

Myoplex carb right are the best protein bars tho, 29g protein 1g carb (subtract dietary fiber)

personally i dont like any protein bars when it comes to nutrition, i would rather have an isolate shake w/o the junk carbs. as far as taste i love labrada, the first protien bar i ever bought and it tasted great, paid about $3 for it at GNC too

This is a study on Detour Bars that I got;
Recently a new food bar has taken the category by storm. It's a "layered" bar that tastes very much like a candy bar. It's label claims are impressive to say the least, and they can't keep them on the shelves (as you have experienced). Unfortunately, though, they've continued the time-honored tradition of being a little dishonest when it comes to their label claims and what's really in their bars:

Here's what they claim:

fat- 9g

carbs- 21g

sugar- 6g

But here's what the lab results indicate:

fat- 13.2g

carbs- 34.2g

sugar- 19.4g

Now they might have modified their concentrations since this lab test was performed but we can say that most companies don't bother (why increase production costs when the're still selling them by the truckload!).
