    Making own pre workout

    Buddy of mine and myself are looking into making our own pre workout with some bulk supps and would like some input from people. The biggest question I have at this point is how much of each component we would want to take and also if its possible to just make a bulk batch up and take like a normal pre workout or if we'd actually need to constantly weight everything out as i've seen on some other places.

    Here's the ingredients we're leaning toward at this time:
    Beta-Alanine
    Citrulline Malate
    BCAAs
    Caff
    1,3 Dimethylamylamine (aware of studies showing it can have negative effects however don't plan on having dose nearly as high as those in studies I read)

    Would consider creatine and arginine (both seem to bloat a bit though)

    Also trying to put in a little more research into adding
    EAAs
    Taurine
    green tea
    and probably some yohimbe.

    Flavoring will be an experiment in itself given the poor taste of some ingredients but we'll tweak it as needed. More concerned at this point with dosing of ingredients but would be more than open to any additional suggestions for things to add/ modify.

    After a little more research found these dosages and figured they'd be a decent starting point

    Cit- 6 G
    Beta Al- 2G
    Taurine 4G
    BCAAs- 5G
    Taurine 2G
    Caff- 100 mg
    1,3 Dimeth- 25mg
    Yohimbe-10mg

    Any input? Flavoring will still be an issue but i can work past that

    Nobody's ever tried this or has any feedback for possible dosing?! I find that hard to believe, don't be shy fellas!

    I've tried Jack3d and all that, but like you, I've been using just the straight ingredients. I've never tried mixing it all together, that would be pretty convienient, but I'd be a little intimidated in finding the right serving size. That would be some serious math! I just use the correct scoopers that come with the products and serve out each individually into a small glass of water and shoot it.

    For me I use:
    Beta Al - 4g
    1,3 Dimeth - 25mg (it's hilarious how small the scooper for this is)
    And I slam this right before a big cup of coffee (6am).

    Mine is definitely a little simpler, but it's fun to see how your body responds to certain doses of the specific ingredients.

    I agree with you on ditching the creatine and arginine.
    Creatine doesn't have any acute effects, only longer term (days and weeks), so taking it before workout wouldn't add any benefit. I personally do it in my post WO shake. And arginine doesn't seem to do anything in the research.

    I'd be curious is Yohimbe would make you too **cough** excited **cough**.

    Thanks eiff, it def. would be much easier to just mix a big batch up but like you said figuring out the dose size to get what I want would be a pain, not to mention making sure things were perfectly mix would be tough. I just kind of thought how would it be any different than buying a pre workout supp, its all just mixed together. One thought I had was to see how big of a scoop would be needed by just adding each ingredient. Then from there multiple that out by however much I want to make, my main concern was each dose, I would assume, you would get a different amount despite best efforts to mix the compounds. I guess I could do each individually but that'll get old quick; unless I just spend one day weighing shit out and maybe capping it all (that'd be a lot of caps and prob wouldn't save me any money long run lol). I'll keep posted if I decide to go this route.

    Ive used some 25mg 1,3 dimethyl caps chased by a STRONG cup of coffee and ripped the gym apart.

    Might put this whole idea on hold more research into pricing leads me to believe making my own will actually end up costing more about $200.00/200 servings ($1.00/ serving). The only advantage to this would be I'd get exactly the amount I want and the products I want. I'm thinking the best route to go would be find a pre workout I like and then I can add in additional amounts of Beta-alanine, citrulline, etc based on the ingredients in the PWO powder. I've checked several sites and the bulk powders individually aren't bad but when adding in several diff ones it doesn't save much money in the long run as compared to adding in small amounts to a PWO powder that cost say 0.67/ per serving...

    im trying to get bigger. What dosage of aqnavar do you guys suggest. Or how should i take them.
    & what should my diet be.

    You need to read read read and this is posted in the wrong section. Also your stats would help if you want feedback after all is said and done.
