Slow and fast acting protein, which one and at what times?
I'm considering getting a second protein powder which will be slow release as opposed to whey. My question is which is the best quality bv (egg, casein, soy, etc...), and what are the most appropriate times in addition to bedtime for taking a slow-release protein source?

Casein would be your slower releasing protein. I only use it prebed. I prefer red meats or cottage cheese for my source of slow release. I usually tend to eat these in my later meals

I sometimes do a scoop of whey and a scoop of casein and combine.

Lots combined the two. And u can buy protein with both in it. I prefer cottage cheese also before bed or late night
