    Milk Thistle Allergies?

I was interested in buying some Milk Thistle but I've had a few people tell me to avoid because of my allergies for ragweed.

Every Spring and Fall my allergies explode because of ragweed and pollen. And a guy told me that Milk Thistle comes from a flowering herb from the Ragweed family.

Anyone know if this is true or had any experience with it?

Just underdose and work your way up and see how you feel. I have felt allergies from milk thistle before. Also from Cycle Assist. Even from Valerian Root and other herbs. Usually the symptoms for me are sore throat, more of an ache, and runney eyes/nose. Strange thing for me is, having taken milk thistle and cycle assist a few times, once I get on cycle the allergies disappear. Coincidence? Maybe. I have wondered if others have noticed similar...

Thanks for the response..I'm sure that the changes in hormones during cycle has something to do with allergies disappearing. I might go to the ol doctors office when I get blood work done and get an allergy shot while I'm there. Hopefully the Milk Thistle wont affect me too much. I will take your suggestion of gradually increasing the dosage.

If you are worried about the chance of allergies to milk thistle, just take liv52 sold in the US as LiverCare this OTC supp has proven to be a more effective liver aid in study after study done in medical literature.

Possible rash, tongue itching or swelling, itchy throat, swelling of the throat...but these are just possibilities if you have allergies to ragweed or plants along that family of plant.
