Increased muscle recovery in between sets and training sessions, decreased recovery time in between sets that allows you to engage in a rather more intense workout that results in more/better hypertrophy of muscle.
Also, a relative increase in strength and fuller looking muscle due to Creatine drawing water and glucose into muscle fibers.
Are there any certain ones that are better than others?
I prefer just plain "crea-pure" creatine.. no flavor, no sugars, just plain creatine powder.Originally Posted by wesholcomb80
many diff companies sell it.
I've used blends before, 1 was from EAS, had tons of sugar n tasted like kool-aid. worked well but bloated the fvck out of me.
I used Kre-Alkalyn creatine for about 6 months, by the end I was at 5x the recommended dose n still nothin.
I just swutched to Optimum Nutition Creapure creatine. Been on it about a month and it's working out real well. I'm less sore, look a little fuller, n can push a little harder n longer at the gym.
I have used Optimum Nutrition Micronized Creatine Monohydrate for a long time and had excellent results.
I have also used the exact same creatine by Nanox Nutrition and Ultimate Nutrition, both gave me pretty good results.
Micronized Creatine Monohydrate is the way to go. 5-10gr post-workout with your pro shake, that is all you need.
I'll check them out, thanks for the info.
i just use creatine mono. 3g before bed, i dont get any more benefit from a larger dose only extra bloat
because thats when i have my protein shake... creatine is not like a drug where is works 30mins after ingestion for x hours. its doesnt matter when you take it. takes hours to metabolize any ways... i have tried every type of creatine at every time of the day for different periods of cycle length. and found no difference whats so ever, except bloat and muscle cramp.
In the gym it will seem like you recover quicker in between sets and help you be a bit stronger
