Diet and cardio are the best 'suppelments' for weight loss.
It really depends...first...ur protein shakes is takin in addition of the whole foods u already eat. If ur tryin to lose weight then generally get the ones that are low in fat...0-1.5 per serving that are also loaded with bcaas. Also it depends on ur eating schedule..u may take some upon waking if u dont have time to eat....ppl take it after they workout and even before...but as i said it should be in addition of foods u already eat not take the place of. And if lookin to lose weight its goin to have more to do with ur exercise and the diet u are on more so than ur protein u take....hope that answered ur questions....good luck
Whey protein immediately after you workout (within 45 min). Optional is casein protein right before bed so you have something in your stomach that will last through the night. Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey is a good protein. Tastes good (except for vanilla ice cream flavor), isn't loaded with garbage and reasonably priced.
Take whey protein in the morning along with a meal or after a workout with other food. Casein protein should be taken at night and also when you know you won't be able to eat for a while as it is slow digesting. These are supplements so remember to eat real food as well! Lots of real food haha.
For weight loss just lower your calorie intake and begin doing some cardio a few days a week. Use the nutrition forum for help with a cutting diet.
I normally use syntha 6 during the day and myofusion before bed.. has help me.
Agreed with protein shakes, mix with water or skim milk if looking to keep the fat off. Milk has a decent amount of fat in it.
i have a shake before bed and one pwo= 80 grams protein
whey is a god send
Whey is overrated and mostly marketing hype. You can reach your goals and targets without them as long as your cals and macro's are on point.
I never use a straight whet, only a blend of whey, egg white and casein. Only for convenience.
Most proteins in most powders, as stated above, are created equal! All you have to do is not buy one full of fillers!
If you cut, don't mix with milk!
