    Has anyone used GABA??

I have heard that this stuff it meant to help you get into a REEM sleep to help your body release hgh more I'm not worried about that effect.

What I want to know is does it really help you sleep because my tren somnia (if that's now you spell it) is winding me up and was wondering if this would help

If anyone has used it and know how it works can you please let me know

    Cheers

I use it, I have real sleep problems. It doesn't get into rem. I just completed a sleep study the other night waiting for results. I have heard good things about it from others with less of a problem than me. Try it, what do you have to loose

    Get hench,

GABA alone does not cross the blood-brain barrier, so many GABA supplements do not work. By that I mean GABA alone does not help you fall asleep faster or deeper - according to many studies. Back in the day (late 60's), the Soviets found a vehicle to help GABA cross the blood-brain barrier through niacin. The synthesized product is called "picamilon" or "pycamilon" depending on the manufacturer. It's an OTC and can be bought on-line or a specialty supplement store.

As a person who has had trouble sleeping, I did the same research you seem to be doing. I concluded phenibut powder was the route to take because it's a derivative of GABA, crosses the blood-brain barrier, and is fairly inexpensive. I feel phenibut helps me hit deeper sleep, but does not help me fall asleep faster, which is what I was/am looking for. It was only until recently that I read Phenibut takes 2-3 hours to take full effect and induce sleepiness.

To answer your Q, look into picamilion or phenibut, but if you take Phenibut, make sure you take it at least two hours before bed.

i take 3-5g of gaba a night. Powder is the only way to do it IMO. After the "panic attack" as i like to describe it, I fall asleep like a baby! I've heard supplementing with Taurine can also help make it pass the bbb.
