    Pre-workout

I was curious as to what some of you take as a pre workout sup. I just started taking hemo rage black before workout and have noticed huge energy and concentration adds from it. The first time I took it I was doing shoulders and tri's, I supersetted everything and didn't want to stop, I had to force myself to rest between. I have been taking it for a week now, just wondering what other brands or products some of you use. Maybe you have tried a bunch and like one better then another? Anyone

hey brah! NO XPLODE is good. gives you nice pumps, concentration and the flavors are good. Also WIRED, really good pre workout. good flavor but less intense than most others.. which i like because you will have focus, pumps but at the same time you wont be climbing the walls.. lol

I've gone through a few. I like to mix it up. Im a big fan of neurocore. I liked Jack3d. Lately I've been switching between Cellucor c4, 1MR, and musclepharms pre workout. I have a buddy that works at GNC so I get a lot of samples!!

Ive tried over two dozen in the past 3-4 years. They all work about the same for a few weeks and then the effects drop off. Some have crash or rebound effects, but not all. Not worth the money wasted IMO.

Agree. I've been done with supplements for a couple years now. No more shakes, either. Food only.

all pre work out supplements are trash. they make your heart overwork. they are expensive and as MuscleInk stated they only work in the short term. once your body gets used to it, the effects are useless

    have some fruits. read this

Fruits, such as oranges, make an excellent addition to your pre-workout meal. Now that you have a slower digesting carb source (as outlined above), it is also beneficial to have a small but sufficient source of fast-digesting carbs to kick-start your workout.
Oranges provide this type of quick energy source. That's why you always hear bodybuilders talking about eating or sucking on oranges before a workout. Aside from providing a solid source of simple carbohydrates, oranges are packed with vitamin C and electrolytes. Bananas and apples are also excellent options if oranges are not to your liking.

not to mention, speaking from experience I spent 4 days in a hospital bed partially due to all the pre work out stuff i had been taking. Myocarditis...you dont want it! 4 days in a hospital bed on top of being sidelined for 15 days at the minimum according to my doc

That is intense. I like the info about the fruit. But what type of preworkout were you using and how much?

  11. #11
    Hemp Rage!!!!

I had some of that the other day. My god, it ****ed my head up. Too intense for me.

If you are looking for a great pre workout, I strongly recommend Craze. It is my favorite so far and i have tried over 20 pre workouts. It gives great focus and concentration and clean energy as opposed to random bursts of energy. Hemo rage black was good but it almost made me pass out, I didn't like the pumps as much either. Try out Craze

I am starting to realize this pre workout stuff is mostly mental for me because they do stop working after a while. I'm going to try some fruit and coffee and see what happens. I have been using Ezekiel and it was the shit at first, but I kept on having to take more. Get some beta alinin and caffeine pills. Much cheaper, wish I would have figured this out sooner. I would have saved a lot of money.

It really is mental. All of these pre workout supplements is nothing but mostly sugar and filler and through clever marketing these corporations do a good job of making consumers think it's the miracle supplement of the world. Save your money. A cup of coffee or ginseng is really all you need. That and the right state of mind.

Not to sure about sugar.....I'm yet to use one with sugar and I don't go out my way to look for one without it... I wouldn't say it's a mental thing there is no lying that these supps give you increased energy and in some cases focus, but along side that it becomes a mental thing because after a while of using them you become reliant on them and feel shit in the gym without it, as you mentioned though I'm sure if u were to simply put caffiene pills in a shiny container called it something like massacre and claimed it was the closest legal thing to cocaine, people would still buy it and have just as good work outs

You may be confused with intra workout supps they will contain sugars for fast carbs as you train

I just got amino energy from ON. It works pretty good, not as good as jack3d or super pump, but it also doesn't get me jittery.

I don't think that they're really just a placebo boost, with some of them you actually feel jittery and can't stop even if you try. Not that that's always a good thing haha

I go back and forth. I know its most likely 90% mental but if thats what it takes to motivate me then so be it...it's my $. I have tried several that I felt absolutely nothing and a few I have felt jacked as hell on. Mostly just the stimulant rush. I will probably keep using them to some degree or another.

I take a protein shake a 1-2 hours before I workout then Platinum Pump Fuel 30 min before. I limit my caffeine to no more than 200mg for energy. I have the benefit of free supps since I work for a supplement company. I usually trade products with customers if I want something we do not make.

I'm familiar with the platinum pump fuel because i have a friend who works at GNC (that's their big moneymaker). It's funny that you say you have the benefit of free sups because that's the only way i could ever afford platinum pump fuel. My buddy at GNC gives me free samples that he gets because he doesn't like them, i think they're ok. I'm mostly here looking for info on prohormones but also researching preworkouts. The pump fuel is a better complex than most of the concentrates i see people talking about all over the forums on the web, but i would like to find something that's in a more affordable price range with more than 30 servings and a little better complex.

I like amino energy a lot because it is simple, has caffeine, mixes well and is cheap. I've tried a ton of different of PWO and for me, less is more. I don't need 25g of random crap, give me some energy and I am good to go.

It is not a ON product. It is PMD Platinum Pump Fuel. I like it, but it is pricey. GNC has it exclusively I think. I know amazon used to sell it but it doesn't show up anymore.

I was off preworkouts for over 3 months. Always felt great in the gym. now that I'm tightening up my diet even more, it's getting harder to find the energy to finish through.
Started taking Celluor's Super HD fat burner. I don't take it as advised. I take 2 pills 30 mins preworkout and I'm soaring through them

  32. #32
All pre workauts are too expensive. If you add to normal diet with suplements and pre workaut you start spending bomps on shit. You start taking any pre workauts. Your body absorb and you will need increase them. The beat is caffeine tablets or strong coffee. Vitamins C is good too. Think about your long term goal and what your budget is each month.

  33. #33
Also you can add supersets to your training anyway and by keep doing them you start doing quicker and quicker with out pre workaut. Just deacrease defines in your rests.

IMO I like to save my money for food. Pre workouts are all just a bunch of stimulant crap. I just go with beta alanine/arganine caps for pump. Add some creatine mono if you'd like

I would recommend something with citruline malate in it (I take hemavol). It gives a sick pump. Then I add in some BCAA w/ Glutamine and creatine. I don't do strong thermogenics but if I need a lift I take something with caffeine and green tea (no hard crash). I might try adding some beta alanine.

I'm not a fan of the concentrated preworkout formulas. Every time I take 1MR or C-4 extreme I throw up. It makes me feel like total crap!

From what I read, I would say that if you were to take one thing it should be BCAA. I hear its good to take them post workout with some simple carbs before you have a protein shake. I have just started this.

Bcaa all day!! I have the same crash off the stimulants too. Worst I ever had was from "invincible" pre workout. Felt like I was coming down from a coke binge lol

Cardio Igniter - Good stuff, no jitters, new on the market and getting a shit ton of 10/10 reviews. Use it myself and it works great.

I honestly wish I would if never got started on pwo. I feel addicted to it now. It's def expensive but damn it makes me feel like a monster. But as your tolerance goes up so do the scoops and it costs even more.
