I have read on here on a few different post that one should take BCAA's & Whey protein.
Now, I'm not an expert so i want to be sure, but doesn't Whey protein already have BCAA's in it?

Depends which protein you buy mate
Generally the more expensive proteins will say something like (6 grams of BCAA,s per scoop)
If you want to make bcaa's part of your intake/diet this just makes things easier for you.
Personally im used to buying separate things like my whey protein is purely just protein and my BCAAs are just BCAAs because i prefer to use different amounts of each rather than the amount given etc
Hope this helps mate.
"lift eat sleep & repeat..."
So if I buy whey isolated protein with BCAAs, would supplementing more BCAAs with that do me harm or would i be okay?
fish and chicken have BCAA'S in them.
even the cheapest whey protein you could find would have BCAAS in them
You need to worry far more about your diet than supplements. Why don't you post it for critique in the nutrition section!Originally Posted by kshway

I've slowly been changing my philosophy from "more is better" to "less is better" and relying more on just eating right.
BCAA's are expensive, and I've never noticed a benefit from them. So i dropped them, and saved $45 every time i DON"T order....!
Most Whey Isolate protein powders that are decent have BCAA's in them already. I take my BCAA's pre and post workout along with my shake in the morning and post workout.
If you eat like a body builder you'll get enough in your diet. If you're lazy or cheating, you should supplement with BCAAs to make up what you're not eating right.
