Thread: Creatine ...... Please help !!!

    Currently taking in 4 shakes per day. My shakes have 5 grams of Creatine Monohydrate in it. 20 grams total. I'm also taking Creatine 189 (5 grams) Wonder if 25 grams of Creatine is too much to take in. I have always herd that it makes you hold water but never really noticed any. I have been doing this for about 2 weeks now. No side effects, just curious to see what everyone thinks ??

    Any help will do !!!!!!

    Creatine will only be absorbed to a certain point, and then you excrete the surplus. the most I've ever heard a knowledgeable member taking is 10 grams a day. Personally, I'm at 5 grams a day, as most of the rest are as well.

    No idea of what Creatine 189 is, but if more expensive than creatine mono, then you are throwing good $$ after bad.

    Bottom line is you have expensive urine!

    Came here to say this. Anything over 10 grams is probably just going right into the toilet.

    Yeh u only really take ten to start with then down to 5 ideally.
    But I know some do ten post w/o n five on off days in am.

    On workout days you can do 5grams in the morning and 5grams post-workout.On off days just 5 grams in the morning.I ve taken 189 its decent.Its supposed to NOT retain a lot of water but its expensive.Anything over 10grams is a waste of money imo.When youre done using the 189 just stick to crea-mono.Its cheaper and does the trick.

    Of course the convenience of 189 is that you take the two pills and youre done.No powder,no mixing, nothing but like I said before it aint cheap.

    Yeah the money adds up fast. I didn't retain any water from 189. Very happy with it

    Your probably pissing some down the toilet but thats about it. 5-10 grams is plenty.
