    whey protein vs gainer?

    i normally take whey 2protein+dextrose after my workout and thats about 50grm pro and 70gram carbs with 220+300=520cals but should i take ON Pro Complex Gainer with 650cals,60grams protein,85grms carbs and with several vitamins and minerals???i think its a better option over whey+dex!

    Looks like just more grams than what you're already taking... I'd do whichever is cheaper. Same difference.

    You should eat more!

    Visit the nutrition forum and post your stats and diet.

    And when your dextrose is gone don't buy any more, you can make your own 'weight gainer' with a higher quality of ingredient for less cost.

    SteM is right. You're not gaining because you're not eating. Don't believe the marketing crap. Weight gainers are FAT gainers, NOT muscle gainers. It's all hype and no benefit.

    Eat real food. Period.

    I have a weight gainer like ste is talking about every day...

    60g protein blend
    100g oats
    7.5g creatine moh

    Simple and basic but beats just about all the bullsh*t on the market...

    I'll give you mine:

    200g low fat cottage cheese
    Shot of espresso
    Teaspoon of truvia
    Scoop of whey
    2 scoops oats

    That's about 50g each of protein and carbs and about 4g fats.

    Add more oats if you a a 'hard gainer' and some natty pb!

    Agree with everyone above. I have taken mass gainers, there are about 300g carbs per serving, at least in mine, most of which is sugar. They are extremely pointless, just increase your caloric intake

    You can make a very effective weight gainer yourself with alot less sugar than brand products.
    Just use some good whey isolate as your base,,,couple cups of milk,,yogurt,,fruit and whatever
    you want to add.

    Want a good gainer: make a whey protein shake add one banana, do with skimmed milk and your set to grow...

    If you are looking at weight gainers look at carnivor mass. It's super low in fat on 1.5 grams a serving with zero sugar. I've always like that one and its a isolate. I split one serving into two servings. 10:00 with my snack and post workout

    Yup weighty gainers are crap. It's hilarious that they always charge so much more for them as well. You can do more good for your body simply adding things to your shake to help you gain mass.
