If you take oral you need about 2000mg to get about 1000 since about half of it will be filtered by your liver. At least that is how I remember it. Injectable is definetly better and takes effect on your energy and hunger quicker.

    Injectable certainly delivers better results.

Injectable is always going to give better results but just go with the oral version and see how you feel.

I agree, oral b12 seems like complete shat. I used it before plenty of times and had straight zero change in anything.

Started b12 shots about a week ago and I can feel a boost in energy. Nothing crazy at all, just a tiny bit but noticeable.

Oral OTC B12 works just fine. I use a $7 bottle of MRM branded (60 count) B12 Methylcobalamin lozenges (2,000 mcg per lozenge) once daily and my levels were 259 points over the top of Kaiser's range at 1169 ph/ml.

In pic values are as follows:

Oldest - fasting with no multivitamin or any supplements for a week prior.

Middle - fasting but had been taking a multivitamin since previous blood work.

Newest - fasting but had been taking a multi and the MRM B12 for the past 2 months.

What chart is that? This doesnt make sense. You have to understand the absorption difference. I took oral B12 at 12,000mcg daily and didnt make much difference. A single shot at 1000mcg gave me tremendous results.

    ~ Oral B12 administered for 8 weeks and my levels were 244 pg/mL (range 200 to 1100)
~ Injections took me to 883 in less than 2 weeks and now steadily at or above range.

Oral B12 is junk. Period. I've already done the bloodwork to prove this.

I posted pic of my lab results (screen shot) and blood work don't lie so in my case, not only did oral work great, I have since dropped it this past week since my levels were so high.

There are different kinds of oral B-12 though, I used Vitamin B12 (As Methylcobalamin).

By the way, the chart in the pic was a comparison of my 3 lab results (feature you can select on kaiser web site when reviewing your blood work).

***attached pic is my latest results this past week using the MRM 2,000 mcg oral B12 daily.
