    creatine when n why?

    I read the sticky about creatine but it contradicts what ive heard from other sources about when to take it. The sticky suggests post work out in the shake. Ive heard that in that state your body fights for absorption of the protein. ive taken it during work out before with little results. My question is if you use creatine when do you take it and why? Looking for user experience.

    Unless you are huge with a shocking amount of LBM, 5-6gr ED will do the trick.

    As for timing, with PWO shake and once a day is the most reasonable and also cost-effective method.

    Your ATP is depleted during a typical workout session and it needs to be refueled before the next one.

    Assuming that you will be resting in between two workout sessions, it then becomes absolutely unnecessary for you to take it also pre-workout.

    On non-training days, it would be smart move to drink it on an empty stomach with a large glass of water and consume a lot of water throughout the day.

    The biggest trick while supplementing with Creatine is water consumption and timing. Rest is BS.

    That being said, is there any benefit to supplement creatine when you are cutting? Or is it only viable when bulking? I haven't used it in years and might give it a whirl again.

    If your metabolism typically responds with a bloat while on Creatine, then it is a bad idea to use it for cutting purposes, especially if you are cutting hard.

    Although a counter-argument would be the muscle sparing qualities of Creatine due to its ability of drawing water & glucose right into the muscle cells which may be beneficial while cutting. Moreover, Creatine provides lifters with strength gains and quicker recovery in between sets, which may again help with maintaining the muscle mass while cutting. It is a give and take, really...

    I personally stop using Creatine if I am cutting hard but other than that it has been my most favorite supplement since the day I started to use it.

    Very interesting, thanks. I honestly have never experienced bloat in my life, with anything, I wouldn't even know it if I got it I think

    This means you have low CHO sensitivity and you are not intolerant to lactose.

    I just started Creatine this week but with my prework out drink.

    For my PWO i have a drink of Aminos and Dextrose then slam my Protein shake.

    What do you recommend drink it with the Aminos then the Protein Shake?
